Dear Loaves and Fishes family, Thank you for your ongoing support of the Ocean Beach food pantry!
We have been working since 1978 to provide food for insecure families and homeless in our areas. Today 40% of the individuals using our resources are homeless while 60% are families.
Loaves & Fishes This summer, we were heartened to see so many children and their families working together to collect essential food supplies. Now, as the back-to-school season approaches, our families face the challenge of balancing the costs of school supplies and clothes. Many are struggling to decide between buying new sneakers for their kids or ensuring there's enough food to feed the family.
We are seeking donations, either in the form of money or healthy school snacks. Over the summer, granola bars, individual packages of nuts, and fruit snacks were particularly popular among our clients.
Please consider donating money through our website. Zeffy is a user-friendly tool that saves our non-profit organization from incurring usage fees. You can even avoid the service charge fee by selecting "0" in the fee dropdown menu.
If you prefer to donate snacks, you can drop them off at Water's Edge Community Center located at 1984 Sunset Cliffs Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107, on Mondays from 9:30 am to 12 pm or Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Additionally, All Souls' Episcopal Church accepts donations on our behalf from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3 pm, and on Sundays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Distribution hours are every Monday, rain, or shine, including all holidays 9:30am – 12pm.
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) in good standing.
